Course Description
Imagine students as active partners and leaders in school improvement. Explore a continuum of possible opportunities for collaborative action and understand how to foster the conditions necessary for developing authentic and powerful student partnerships. This half-day workshop provides foundational information, inspirational examples, and concrete “how to” advice for getting started or for expanding student involvement in your context.

Explore various examples, including organizations and networks that have deepened student voice, partnered with students to identity and test change ideas, and developed enabling conditions for students to lead

Course Format
This course will be delivered in a half-day (3.5 hour) interactive learning session conducted online in Zoom (with built-in breaks!). Attend live sessions with facilitators and fellow participants; learn and practice new skills both in session and practice the skills between sessions. Participants receive electronic versions of all resources and tools.
This course is not a webinar! Together, we will create a learning space that honors everyones’ unique context and background. Our workshops prioritize connection, meaning making, and fun!
Accessibility
We provide an advance draft of our slide deck before the session and enable live transcription and closed captions during the live Zoom session. Our sessions are recorded (absent any technical difficulties) and can be accessed for up to 30 days after the course concludes.

Individuals or teams who want to partner with students to address any systemic issue in their school. Whether you are just getting started in student-powered improvement or are ready to expand this important work, the content will be applicable to your context. We encourage teams to attend the training together.
